Wheel Bases

Direct-drive bases with Thrustmaster’s next-gen quick release. The T598 runs on PlayStation and PC; the T818 Black Edition is the 10 N·m base for PC.

How to choose
  1. Platform first. PlayStation: the T598 is the only base here that runs on it. Xbox: a MOZA R12 V2, R16 Ultra or R25 Ultra with the ESX wheel. PC: any of them.
  2. The wheel you want picks the brand. MOZA wheels need a MOZA base; Asetek wheels an Asetek base (the RaceView display wheels a Forte or Invicta); Thrustmaster wheels, including the Ferrari licensed SF-25 and 488 GT3, a Thrustmaster base. Cube Controls wheels and the Heusinkveld One go on a MOZA or Asetek Racing base with an adapter we add; Cube Controls wheels bolt straight to a VNM x Cube Controls base.
  3. Compare torque like with like. MOZA R9 and R12 are rated at peak, the Ultras sustained, Thrustmaster constant, Asetek Forte and Invicta at a level held for up to 40 s, and the Initium and the VNM x Cube Controls bases at max. 12 N·m peak is not 10 N·m constant, and more torque is headroom, not a setting you must run.
  4. Budget the path, not just the base. The five MOZA bases, from $299 to $899, share one wheel family. The Initium steps up to 8 N·m with the $89 Boost Kit.
  5. For shared rigs, check the stop. Asetek’s Torque OFF box, the T818’s force-feedback button, or MOZA’s E-stop port; hands-off protection on the R12 V2, R16 Ultra and R21 Ultra. Thrustmaster rates the T818 for home use, 21 and up.

Where Thrustmaster fits: Our PlayStation route: the T598 runs on PS5 and PS4 and takes the Ferrari licensed wheels. The T818 Black Edition adds 10 N·m constant on PC, for home use.

How torque is rated. 12 N·m peak is not the same as 10 N·m constant. More torque is headroom, not a setting you must run.

Steering Wheels

Wheels that clip onto Thrustmaster bases. The SF-25, Hypercar and GT Wheel use the next-gen quick release of the T598 and T818; the 488 GT3 and the EVO Racing Hub fit every Thrustmaster base with a detachable rim. The EVO hub takes one EVO rim, sold separately.

How to choose
  1. Your base decides the brand. MOZA on MOZA, Asetek on Asetek, Thrustmaster on Thrustmaster. Cube Controls and the Heusinkveld One use a standard hub: we add the adapter on MOZA or Asetek Racing bases; Cube Controls wheels bolt straight to a VNM x Cube Controls base. They are not offered on Thrustmaster.
  2. Console? Xbox: the MOZA ESX on a supported MOZA base. PlayStation: a Thrustmaster wheel on the T598; the GT Wheel adds PlayStation buttons and is mapped for you in Gran Turismo. Everything else is PC.
  3. The cars you drive set the rim shape. Formula, about 270–300 mm: open-wheel. Butterfly or D, 300–325 mm: GT. Round, 320–340 mm: road, rally and drift. The oval Hypercar: Le Mans prototypes. 400 mm: trucks.
  4. Screen or lights? Screens run from 2.85 in to 5.4 in. LED-only wheels often cost less and pair with a dash such as the MOZA CM2 or an on-screen overlay.
  5. Clutch and power. For standing starts, pick dual clutch paddles with a bite point. Wheels powered through the quick release never need charging; the wireless ones (Heusinkveld One, Cube F-PRO, F-CORE EVO, GT PRO V2, Mercedes-AMG edition) do.

Where Thrustmaster fits: The Ferrari licensed SF-25 and 488 GT3, the Gran Turismo wheel and the oval Hypercar, on the T598 or T818.

Pedals

The Raceline Pedals III LC: a 100 kg load-cell brake with adjustable feel, Hall-effect throttle and clutch, and an all-metal modular frame. USB-C on PC; on PlayStation they plug into the T598.

How to choose
  1. What do you play on? PlayStation: the Raceline Pedals III LC through the T598. Xbox: MOZA CRP2 through a MOZA base, depending on the game. PC: all of them; Asetek, Heusinkveld, the mBooster and the Cube Controls SP01 Core are PC only.
  2. Compare brake force at the pedal, not the load-cell size. Heusinkveld Sprint: up to 65 kg (120 kg cell). Heusinkveld Ultimate+: up to 140 kg (200 kg cell). Thrustmaster: 25–100 kg. Asetek Forte and Invicta: up to about 180 kg. MOZA states the cell range (SRP2 0–100 kg, CRP2 0–200 kg), not the force at the pedal.
  3. Pick the brake feel. Load cell with springs or elastomers: MOZA, Thrustmaster. Two-stage with a hard wall: Asetek Forte. A spring, then rubbers that firm up: Heusinkveld Sprint. Real hydraulic pressure: Asetek Invicta. Hydraulic damping: Heusinkveld Ultimate+. Feel set in software: MOZA mBooster.
  4. Want to feel ABS in your foot? The PHF kit ($39) vibrates SRP2 or CRP2 pedals; the mBooster moves the pedal itself. Nothing else here does this.
  5. Clutch and layout. Three pedals in the box: Thrustmaster, Sprint 3, Ultimate+ 3. Add a clutch later: MOZA, Asetek S-Series and T.H.O.R.P. II, Heusinkveld. Separate pedal units: Asetek S-Series. Hanging pedals: the CRP2 inversion kit. Upgrade later: the Initium kits.

Where Thrustmaster fits: A metal three-pedal load-cell set that runs on PlayStation through the T598.

Force and travel. A position sensor reads how far the pedal moves; a load cell reads how hard you press. Your leg repeats a pressure far better than a position.

Shifters & Handbrakes

The all-metal TH8A H-pattern and sequential shifter, and the TSS Handbrake, which doubles as a sequential shifter. USB on PC, or through a Thrustmaster base on consoles; on the T598 on a console (PlayStation or Xbox), the two together connect through the TM Sim Hub.

How to choose

How to choose a shifter

  1. Your cars. H-pattern for road, classic and trucks: the HGP. Sequential for GT and rally: the SGP, MagShift and MagShift Mini. Both: the Asetek Dual Mode and the TH8A.
  2. Feel. A spring or damper you tune: the SGP damper, TH8A resistance, Asetek throw length. A magnetic click with a set force up to 11 kg: Heusinkveld.
  3. Console. The TH8A, through the T598 on PlayStation. The rest are PC.
  4. Space. The MagShift Mini is the compact one, the SGP mounts forward or reversed, and the Asetek fits left- or right-hand drive.

Where Thrustmaster fits: H and sequential plates in one box; PlayStation through the T598.

How to choose a handbrake

  1. Force or position. A load cell reads how hard you pull: Asetek, Heusinkveld. The MOZA HBP and the Thrustmaster TSS read how far the lever moves.
  2. Double duty. The TSS is also a sequential shifter; the Asetek has a digital (button) mode.
  3. Console. The TSS only, through the T598 on PlayStation.
  4. Mounting. All four mount vertically or horizontally. Heusinkveld adds 26° of fine tuning; Asetek fits left- or right-hand drive.

Where Thrustmaster fits: Handbrake or sequential shifter in one.

Handbrake: position sensor. Reads how far the lever moves, not how hard you pull.

Yes. MOZA, Asetek Racing, Heusinkveld and Thrustmaster hardware and the Cube Controls wheels fit both the SimWerk Core and the SimWerk Grand. For the VNM x Cube Controls wheelbases and the Cube Controls SP01 Core pedals, we confirm the mounting for your chassis in your quote.

Can I race on PlayStation with a SimWerk rig?

Yes, with the Thrustmaster T598 Servo Base and a Thrustmaster wheel. Thrustmaster pedals plug into the base, and a Thrustmaster shifter or handbrake into its add-on port (a shifter and a handbrake together connect through the TM Sim Hub, which the configurator adds to your build). The MOZA, Asetek Racing, Heusinkveld and Cube Controls gear in our configurator runs on PC (some MOZA gear also on Xbox with the ESX wheel; the configurator tells you which), not on PlayStation. Thrustmaster firmware updates for the base, wheels and pedals install from a Windows PC (Thrustmaster's My Thrustmaster Panel software), so you need one for updates. Game support varies by title.

How do I order?

Ordering is by quote. Build your rig in the configurator and send it to us, or send the contact form or email info@simwerkus.com with the items you want. We'll confirm lead time and a final quote. Our Returns & Warranty policy applies to every order.

What is your return policy?

We don't give refunds, exchanges or store credit for a change of mind: once your order is delivered, all sales are final except for quality problems. If anything you buy from us arrives damaged, is defective or doesn't work as it should, or isn't what your quote lists, contact us. We'll repair, replace or refund it as the law or the applicable warranty requires. This covers everything we sell, including hardware from other brands. The full policy is under Returns & Warranty on our Support page.

What if a Thrustmaster product I bought from SimWerk has a problem?

Contact us first: email info@simwerkus.com or use the contact form. We'll repair, replace or refund it as the law or the applicable warranty requires. Ask us before you order how Thrustmaster's warranty applies to items bought through SimWerk. As with everything we sell, we don't take returns for a change of mind.

What do “Ferrari licensed” and “Mercedes-AMG edition” mean on a wheel?

They describe the product. A Ferrari licensed wheel is officially licensed by Ferrari, as its maker Thrustmaster states. The Cube Controls Mercedes-AMG GT Edition was developed in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG and carries a genuine Mercedes-Benz badge. Our 3D models show those marks where the real wheel has them. SimWerk itself isn't licensed by Ferrari or Mercedes-Benz.

Spec it on your rig.

Add Thrustmaster gear to a SimWerk build and see the total as you go. Ordering is by quote.
